REPORT ON ORIENTATION SESSION ON LASALLE COLLEGE OF THE ARTS, SINGAPORE

On 13th September 2013, the Visual Arts students of Grade 9, 10, IB1 and IB2 attended a special orientation program on LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore in the M.Ct.M International School campus. The session was conducted by Mr.Freddy Lai Hoe Boon and Mr. Boon Hee Chia from the Division of Admissions, LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore.

The presentation which was organized solely for the benefit of the present Visual Arts students covered a wide range of aspects with regards to education in a creative stream and the courses offered by LASALLE in particular. A number of videos were played to help the students understand and awaken to the world of possibilities that an Art & Design School has to offer to them. The history of LASALLE College of the Arts was explained along with details of the courses offered, entry requirements, campus life, scholarships available and possible career options available on graduation. The students were also shown photos and videos of work produced by LASALLE students and the success stories of some of their alumni.


The facilitators were very effective in bringing about a good understanding of the students to the principles and work methodology of LASALLE. The interaction with Mr.Freddy and Mr.Boon Hee is sure to develop a clarity, inspiration and awareness to the various career choices available for the students.
